Job Responsibilities

ARGO programmers participate in the system development life cycle to innovate applications that automate the business processes of financial institutions. Other responsibilities include:

  • Designing and analyzing business logic algorithms
  • Developing and enhancing system and business application-level functionality
  • Using quality assurance procedures to report defects and propose enhancements
  • Preparing conceptual, detail, and technical design documentation
  • Ensuring that assigned functionality adheres to performance and development standards
  • Participating in on-site development (travel requirements will vary)

Qualifications

Qualified applicants have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a field related to the job position, such as Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Science (CS) for programmers
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Work experience during school (highly preferred)

Communication Skills

Our highly productive, achievement-oriented environment requires effective communication skills. All team members must be able to:

  • Read, write, and interpret design specifications and technical documentation
  • Work in a collaborative environment
  • Effectively communicate with ARGO teammates and clients

Technical Skills

To provide innovative solutions, our team members maintain the highest standard of technical skill. Qualified applicants should understand:

  • Modern programming concepts
  • Database design, performance, and usage
  • Data structure theory
  • Multi-tier architecture
  • JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML, and XSL (highly preferred)
  • Web browser development environments (highly preferred)
